The Center for Theological Writing (CTW) equips students of theology with the tools to write clearly, correctly, cogently, and profoundly. To that end, the Center offers one-on-one consultations as well as free resources and events. It is also a place for students who love writing to meet and share their ideas.

Consultation Services

One-on-one consultations with CTW staff are now available for an hourly fee. These consultations provide personal feedback on your writing for course papers and personal answers to your specific questions about your writing. To meet with a CTW consultant, schedule an appointment using our online form.

Events

During the fall and spring semesters, the CTW hosts events where students can learn more about writing skills for their class assignments, share and discuss their own writing, and become familiar with work by great authors of the past. CTW's main events are Writers' Circles, PhD/ThM Forums and Roundtables, and the Literature Group.

Free Writing Resources

CTW provides a wealth of free online writing resources, including

Editor Referral

Through the Editor Referral Program, CTW recommends qualified editors for major writing projects.

Note: All students and guests of Westminster are welcome to attend our Writers' Circle programs and use the print resources outside the CTW Student Resource Room and Tutoring Center. However, our consultation services are available only to current Westminster students and alumni for up to six months after graduation.
